What to Expect at a General Program Drop-in Class
Classes are held in a friendly and relaxed manner. The usual format is to begin the class with a simple breathing meditaton to calm our minds. We then receive a short teaching on various topics of Buddhism relevant to our daily lives, followed by a contemplative meditation where we take the essence of the teaching to heart. There is an opportunity to ask questions and once the class is over, everyone is welcome to stay for a cup of tea and some time to chat.
These classes are suitable for beginners and for those with some meditation experience.
